Position Type: Regular Part-Time/Hourly

 

Pay Range: $12.04 - $13.54/hour

 

About this opportunity: 

Performs a variety of clerical and secretarial work; performs typing and filing as a majority of the responsibilities.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of clerical and secretarial work
  • Performs typing and filing as a majority of the responsibilities
  • Processes a variety of routine paperwork necessary for office operations
  • Prepares minutes for meetings
  • Files and records information
  • Answers the telephone and provides general information regarding the office operations and/or services
  • Processes incoming/outgoing mail for an assigned area

What we are looking for in you:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required, with supplemental secretarial or administrative courses preferred, and 
  • Two years of experience performing secretarial work in a general office, or 
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.

Certifications:

Valid State Driver's License

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.

Ability to perform routine mathematical computations.

Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, computer, and adding machine.

Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail with constant breaks in concentration associated with answering phones or speaking in person to clients requiring assistance.

Duties are usually performed seated.  Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.

Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

 

Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
