Athletic Director (Northwest Community Center)

Location: Northwest Community Center/PBC Area Command, West Palm Beach, Florida

Position Type: Regular Full-Time

Pay Range: $19.18 per hour.

About this opportunity:  Plans, coordinates, and directs all youth athletic programs for the Corps and Boys and Girls Club; plans and coordinates fund-raising and recruitment events; recruits and supervises volunteer staff; maintains all program equipment; plans and coordinates a youth mentorship program; represents the Corps in the community and builds a professional and positive image of The Salvation Army.

Key responsibilities:

·         Promotes participation in the Corps athletic activities in order to encourage safety of the community youth.

·         Plans and coordinates the mentorship of youth.

·         Plans and coordinates a youth tutoring program.

What we are looking for in you:

·         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field,

and

·         Two years’ experience participating in and coordinating sporting events,

or

·         any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
