About this opportunity:

This position is responsible for selling, attending to customers, merchandising, pricing, and restocking of goods in the Supplies & Purchasing Department retail store.  Includes coordinating all activities related to the standard operations of a professional retail store. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation of the primary cash register, ringing up sales, looking up inventory, applying discounts, and charging accounts as required; maintains the security and accountability of the store items and cash drawer.
  • In coordination with the Sales & Marketing Manager, plans, designs, arranges, and supervises the maintenance of the Supplies and Purchasing Store fixtures and layout; promotes and features products to ensure increased sales of merchandise and to maintain an attractive and inviting store.
  • Receives and processes customer orders/purchases in an accurate and timely manner; codes orders according to departmental policies and procedures; enters orders/purchases in the computer system; and maintains paperwork and filing system.

What we are looking for in you:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D required (associate degree in a business-related field preferred), AND
  • One to two years of retail experience. Clothing store or similar operation assisting customers with size and fit is preferred. OR
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 
  • Valid State of Georgia driver’s license.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by occasional periods of standing or walking as related to necessary trips between office and store/stockroom/warehouse locations.  Work is performed in a busy office, stockroom and/or warehouse environment with little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather and occasional physical discomforts associated with noise, crowds, dust, lint, chemical odors, and the like.
