Procurement & Trade Services Representative

Location:  Territorial Headquarters, Atlanta, GA      

About this opportunity:

This position is responsible for performing various functions associated with the procurement and accounting of goods and services within the Trade South (Purchasing Department).  

Key responsibilities:

• Performs various functions associated with the procurement and accounting of goods and services. within the Trade South (Purchasing Department).
• Resolves customer complaints and/or problems in a calm, courteous, tactful, and timely manner.
• Creates and maintains up-to-date database records of mailing lists with Salvation Army account numbers and the mailing and shipping addresses of all Salvation Army units.

What we are looking for in you:

• High School diploma or G.E.D required (associate degree in a business-related field preferred), AND
• Two years of progressively responsible experience working in a retail environment. Purchasing responsibilities preferred. OR
• Any equivalent combination of training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid State of Georgia driver’s license.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Physical ability to carry and/or lift, push, or pull objects (up to 25 lbs.).  Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by occasional periods of standing or walking as related to necessary trips between office and store/stockroom/warehouse locations.  Work is performed in a busy office, stockroom and/or warehouse environment with little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather and occasional physical discomforts associated with noise, crowds, dust, lint, chemical odors, and the like.
