Event Stage Crew

Location:  Territorial Headquarters, Atlanta, GA     

About this opportunity:

The Salvation Army Events Management department is seeking qualified applicants to fill part-time/casual positions to support department events.

This position works alongside the event production crew and performs all assigned staging needs for the assigned event(s), including attending all rehearsals and programs that require stage crew assistance. Works alongside the production team for the event to move props, set, and costumes on and off stage at the appropriate times and help cue performers and presenters on entrances and exits. Runs spotlights as assigned.

What we are looking for in you:

• One year of experience working in the field of Creative Arts is preferred.  OR

• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

A constant amount of physical effort is required associated with hand movement, holding, finger dexterity, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, vision, hearing, talking, and sitting at least 90% of the work time. Ability to lift and carry moderately to heavy (100+ lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Physical effort is associated with walking, standing, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching.  Work can take place in many different indoor and outdoor environments where there could be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. 

Work performed by youth ages 14-17 must comply with The Salvation Army employment policies specifically for youth and federal and state youth employment regulations, which outline prohibited hazardous work and work days/hours.
