Location: The Augusta Kroc Center

Rate of Pay: $10.00 per hour (Part-Time)

About this opportunity:

Responsible for creating exceptional customer service experiences. Primary responsibilities include selling and/or verifying memberships, program registrations, and Kroc merchandise through a POS system as well as providing facility information and tours, answering and routing all incoming calls.

Key responsibilities:

  • Greet and offer assistance to all people as they enter the facility.
  • Be an ambassador for the Kroc Center by giving tours, promoting the center and selling memberships.
  • Provide accurate information about membership types, benefits, and costs.
  • Assist customers in choosing a membership or program that best fits his or her needs.
  • Maintain progressive knowledge of all programs and facilities.
  • Enforce policies in a positive non-discriminatory manner.
  • Attend to accidents and injuries according to policy.
  • Promote a warm and inviting atmosphere that gives our guests and members the “at home” feeling when they are in the Kroc Center.
  • Perform POS transactions, i.e. handle cash, credit cards or checks, make change and operate the kiosk.
  • Balance drawer to daily sales.
  • Enter all membership information into kiosk accurately and timely.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for back deposits and end of shift.
  • Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the POS stations and kiosks.
  • Follow all policies and procedures for the front desk and POS system.
  • Alert Membership & Gust Service Coordinator of any equipment malfunctions or failures immediately.
  • Serve customers, client and members according to established procedures.
  • Receive and handle incoming telephone calls.
  • Greet visitors and respond to requests and questions in a friendly and businesslike manner.
  • Direct calls to appropriate program/staff in a timely manner.
  • Monitor lobby and other visible areas for policy violations, incidents (spills, broken equipment, etc.) and potential hazards.  If unable to attend to such incidents notify Membership & Guest Service Coordinator immediately.
  • Provide administrative support including, filing, data entry, and mailings.
  • Work in a cooperative manner with all other Kroc Center employees, be a team player.
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality of all Kroc Center members, guests and clients.
  • Observe all Safety Rules and Regulations. 

What we are looking for in you:

  • High School Diploma or GED, and
  • 1-2 years of cashier/customer service experience, Or
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements; ability to read, write, and communicate the English language; ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.; work is performed in an environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with dust, dirt, and the like. Work will be attending to a front desk and may require standing for extended periods of time. Work will involve periods of walking while conducting facility tours. Work is performed in a fast-paced environment and includes frequent phone and in person contact with people from diverse backgrounds who may be angry, hostile, confused or frustrated.
