Position Overview:

The Executive Director of FP&A will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy and performance of the Chamber, contributing to its overall success and sustainability. The position requires a seasoned financial professional with strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and deep expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be adept at leveraging financial data and analytics to inform decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and drive organizational growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development and execution of the Chamber’s overarching financial planning and reporting strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Lead the annual budget process, overseeing a comprehensive review, analysis, and allocation of department-specific requirements and timelines while closely monitoring performance against budgetary targets.
  • Establish standardized analytics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for organization-wide implementation, including fundraising and sales analytics, to empower the leadership team in steering the business toward exceeding financial objectives.
  • Propose innovative cost-saving measures and strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Create and deliver compelling visualizations and internal presentations, translating analytical insights into actionable strategies for implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience commensurate with the role.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial management.
  • Strong background in both FP&A and accounting principles.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive preferred, with openness to equivalent financial management software.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and adeptness in team building.
  • Familiarity with general ledger accounting systems.
  • Proficient in data analytics using mathematical tools such as databases, spreadsheets, and statistical analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
