QA Test Engineer

Summary of Position:
Under the direct supervision of the CIO & Senior VP or Research & Development, this position works with product owners and developers to create and execute automated test cases and to ensure adherence to quality processes. This is an experienced QA/Test Engineer who work as an integral member of the R&D team to support migration of Verisma’s technology stack to Azure and expand its features.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work with product owner to create test cases and scenarios
• Guide business analysts to write testable requirements
• Setup QA/Test processes, release criteria, and ensure adherence
• Automate test cases, improve code coverage, and help us choose the right tools
• Write tools to automate processes
• Work with product owners, dev ops, and software engineers to create a continuous delivery process
• Create relevant documentation to help capture decisions, like why a specific solution was used and what alternatives were rejected
• Live by and promote Verisma company values
• Perform other appropriate duties, as assigned, to meet the needs of the department and the company

Minimum Qualifications:
• B.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent education and experience
• 7+ years of progressive IT experience
• Prior experience conducting software testing
• Prior experience utilizing test automation tools (Selenium)
• Ability to write test cases, scenarios and create automation
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to work with all levels of staff within the organization
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, can work without supervision
• Candidates with prior experience in the healthcare industry, preferred
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter
