OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The primary responsibility of your job position is to oversee the clinical management operation of the facility neighborhoods. Supervision in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and as may be required by the Director of Nursing services to ensure the highest degree of quality care will be provided.  You are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. 
 
This position will work every other weekend and Mornings. 

• Prepare the following PIC information:  monthly skin program summary report, monthly restraint summary, monthly falls summary report.

• Lead weekly management team meetings and Care Plan meetings.

• Serve on Psychotropic, weight and skin committees.

• Attend monthly Pain Management Committee Meeting and provide summary report to PIC.

• Consult Pharmacist report and follow up monthly.

• Attend Monthly Medication Management meetings.

• Conduct Admission Screening.

• Monitor weekly Coumadin flow sheet and follow up as needed.

• Conduct weekly lab audit.

• Monitor Infection control practices and programs.

• Monitor medication errors and follow up as needed.

• Conduct monthly medication destruction with pharmacist.

• Participate in neighborhood resident care plans.

• Monitor dining room service on a rotating basis.

• Conduct CNA assignment sheet review and filing, as well as review CNA sheet updates from Care Plans.

• Provide input for RN and LPN applicants; may serve on interview committee.

• Attend Medicare A meetings.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of computer systems including Point Click Care

• Working knowledge of long-term care and skilled nursing state and federal regulations (preferred)

• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures and standards of care

• Leadership and supervisory skills-willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel

• Patience, tact and a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm as well as willingness to handle difficult people

• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience: One-year experience in a long-term care environment (preferred)

• License: Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as RN in Colorado, CPR Certification
• COVID Vaccine Required or Valid Exemption
