GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will serve as a subject matter expert for employee relations issues including performance management, employment policies, compliance, workplace issues and investigations and positive employee engagement. The HR Generalist self manages low to moderate risk cases on a variety of ER topics including but not limited to company Human Resources policies, attendance, performance, and conflict resolution.


Essential Job Functions

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Contributes to the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 4+ year of relevant/technical work experience OR

  • An additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with managing multiple priorities

  • Remain calm and productive under pressure, customer-focused and able to foster productive relationships.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Effective time management, able to identify and prioritize tasks necessary to meet long and short-term objectives

  • Fluent in English

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's Degree

  • 5+ years of Human Resources Experience

  • Experience in aerospace related industry
