About the Role

In this role you will provide the leadership for a highly motivated and experienced technical organization. You will manage the activities to expand the skills and capabilities of technical team members required to produce innovative products, systems, and services to meet both customer and business needs. You will interface with senior management and global functional leaders to develop strategies to achieve complex goals. You will play a crucial role as the champion for fostering robust engineering processes and standardization in product development across the whole organization.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Support the enterprise vision and transformation of the technical organization to better support the customer and the business
• Participate in overall business planning and budgeting to determine long-term department strategy in support of business plans
• Establishes and improves product development engineering processes including leading the change control process at the enterprise level
• Continuously advances the methods for engineering design and product development through Lean Product Development, Agile, industry benchmarking, advanced research or other innovative methods
• Champions standardization in product development
• Provide the organization with technical and financial information and assist the organization in making the appropriate prioritization and portfolio decisions
• Build and foster a constructive and cohesive team environment

Required Qualifications

• Advanced Engineering degree (MS/PhD) or Bachelor’s Engineering degree and 10 or more years of related experience
• Experience establishing robust engineering business processes
• Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams
• Project/Program Management Experience
• Experience in product development

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to create/foster a leadership environment that is conducive to teamwork and supports a fast-paced, highly visual, and collaborative work environment
• Experience working with a globally distributed workforce
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) process
• Understanding of smart thermal systems
