Shifts/Availability: Tuesday-Thursday & Saturday Mornings
Rate: $13.00

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.

Position Purpose: The Sports Official holds responsibility to officiate youth sports in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives. 

Responsibilities:
• Act in accordance with YMCA of the USA Youth Sports policies and procedures at all    times.
• Build relationships with participants, parents, coaches, and officials.
• Maintain a safe sports environment at all times. Make sure that non-participants are     not interfering with game play or participation of team members.
• Conduct a coaches’ meeting before each game.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:
• 18 years of age or older
• HS diploma/GED preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years officiating sports
• Possesses advanced knowledge of the sport
• Display appropriate maturity level and ability to relate to all ages and ability levels
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Obtain and maintain all additional new hire certifications and training within 90 days     of hire
