Branch: Association Office 

Pay Class: Full Time 

Shifts/Availability: Monday-Friday/Hybrid 

Rate: $45,000-$55,000 

 

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs. 

 

Position Purpose: Under the supervision of the Director of Talent Acquisition and Engagement, the Recruiter I will focus on all tasks related to the sourcing of teachers, BASE, and camp associates within a timely manner. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Use recruiting software to keep track of open roles 
  • Proactively identify and develop a pipeline of candidates for both current and future positions for in-demand talent 
  • Develop relationships with local schools, community partners and training programs 
  • Utilize job boards to post jobs that reach potential new teacher and camp team members 
  • Actively monitor other avenues for candidate searching (i.e. associations, diversity sites, job fairs, on-campus interviewing etc.)  
  • Plan, execute and attend recruiting events 
  • Write and post advertisements, utilize social media sourcing methods for recruitment 
  • Collaborate with the Director of Talent Acquisition and Engagement to develop and execute sourcing strategies
  • Provide weekly updates to hiring managers
  • Other duties as assigned  

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Associate degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field 

OR

2+ years of experience in a recruiting, customer service, marketing, or retail role.

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to meet established recruiting metrics and performance requirements 
  • Exceptional customer service skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Previous experience with Applicant Tracking Systems  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software 
  • Be able to multi-task and work under deadlines in a fast-paced and collaborative environment 
  • Be capable of prioritizing tasks and follow up on actions without prompting 
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances; and be willing to go the extra mile and participate as an active team member who assists other team members as necessary.
