About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all. 


Position Purpose: The Upper Main Line YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic Tennis Professional to deliver value-driven sports programs to participants in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, organize and lead tennis activities for all participants 
  • Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation  
  • Organize and maintain program records including, but not limited to:  attendance records, rosters, etc 
  • Manage all equipment 
  • Maintain a clean and risk-free environment 
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and that all children are picked up by parent/guardian 
  • Communicate positively and accurately with all the parents/guardians of participants 
  • Promote other YMCA programs with participants and parents/guardians 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor 

Qualifications: 

  • Prior knowledge and minimum 2 years’ experience in sports 
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills 
  • Must have high school diploma or GED 
  • Demonstrated the ability to relate and positively interact with children and adults 
  • Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
