Human Resources Coordinator (Year Round FT)

  • Provide departmental reception duties by answering employee requests and questions in a prompt and friendly manner.
  • Respond to and route phone and email messages as appropriate.
  • Route, process and respond to daily incoming office mail and paperwork.
  • Assist with preparation and mailing of office correspondence.
  • Assist in all recruitment efforts to include updating job postings, posting jobs, applicant tracking, pre-employment testing and screening, attending job fairs and external recruiting events.
  • Prepare and assist with onboarding paperwork, employee identification cards, and name tags for new employees.
  • Develop, update and present New Hire Orientation and prepare new hire packets.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs to include monthly Service Excellence program, quarterly letters and Length of Service awards.
  • Maintain the company Peak Performance wellness program Make photocopies, fax documents and perform other clerical functions.
  • Perform filing as needed, maintain organized files.
  • Responsible for coordinating and maintaining seasonal employee recreation benefit forms, passes and coupons and seasonal employee discount forms.
  • Provide logistical support for departmental events to include, but not limited to: Job Fair, Employee Party, Open Enrollment & Communications Meeting, etc.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments for HR office needs.
  • Edit and distribute monthly employee newsletter The Communiqué.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized HR office reception area.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all internal and external Human Resources related communications.
  • Responsible for other projects as required.

Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher).
  • Effective business writing skills (grammar, vocabulary, clarity and brevity).
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to maximize use of time, resources and technology.
  • Able to analyze, interpret and present data in various formats.
  • Able to work with computers, faxes, copiers, scanners and various other technologies in offices and on resort.
  • Able to speak in front of and present to individuals and groups.
  • Able to create accurate reports in Excel with formulas and graphs.
  • Maintains office, employee and company confidentiality at all times.
  • Dependable and meets goals.

Education:

  • Minimum of a two year degree or combination of experience and post high school business-related course work.
  • Experience in Human Resource functions preferred.
  • Prior experience in hospitality industry a plus.

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and evenings as business needs may dictate. Winter and summer require ability to work Saturday office rotation.
  • Ability to travel for recruiting fairs, college and school events and training.
  • Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.
