Overview

The Big O Inventory Specialist will perform inventory inspections at business locations on a part-time as needed basis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical inventory counts, audits, and inspections of Store inventories to be reconciled to store records.
  • Maintain record of audits.
  • Identify, recommend and address operational process improvements.
  • Effectively communicate inventory audit requirements and results with store managers and home office personnel.
  • Schedule and complete inventory audits to ensure sufficient inventory to serve our customer base.
  • Utilize POS software and Home Office software to build and maintain inventory levels.
  • Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
  • All MFA Oil employees are expected to know and adhere to company and position specific policies and procedures. While this job description contains the primary duties of the position, employees may be expected to perform other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Inventory management experience.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to perform detail work with accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and use technical materials.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and goals and develop plans for achieving them.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally and regionally on a regular basis. Travel may include overnight stays.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or sitting) for up to nine hours per shift.
  • Ability to walk for up to two consecutive hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move and count inventory.
  • Flexible schedule with availability during weekday business hours.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate accurately and effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to meet Company requirements, including successful pre-employment background and drug test.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. 

Preferred Skills

  • Automotive parts or mechanical repair experience.
  • Knowledge of inventory finance, automotive retail and dealership operations, or floor plan merchandising.
