Transportation Driver - Villa Resort

Expectations & Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone to fill our PM Transportation needs - hours may vary but the shift will be between 3pm-11pm.

• Possesses an extensive/intimate knowledge of the hotel operational policies and procedures, as guests will require a vast array of resort services and information.
• A knowledge of Kiawah Island and immediate area is preferred but not required
• Good communication skills are a must
• Graciously welcomes guest to Kiawah Island, and wishes them safe travels upon departure
• Transporting Kiawah Resort guests while proving excellent guest service
• Carefully carries baggage to and from guest villas and homes while also helping acclimate guests with their accommodations as needed.
• Preforms deliveries of amenities, golf bags, luggage, and other items when needed.
• Inspects van before each shift for any safety concerns, as well as cleanliness inside and out.
• Facilitating guest traffic in the lobby, opening doors, and answering guests questions while not transporting guests
• Above all, we are looking for a person who appreciates the opportunity to be of service.
• Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort.
• Maintain and uphold the appearance of our Vehicle Fleet, including cleaning interior and exterior of equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education –High School Diploma
• Minimum Experience – Previous guest service experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting is appreciated, but not essential.
• Must possess the ability to remain calm in a stressful and/or hurried environment, Ability to handle confidential information.
• Must work both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable past driving record

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry minimum weight of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift.
• Capable of working consecutive hours without sitting down.
• Ability to reach, bend, lift, and carry trays/ovals.
