Bilingual HR Generalist

  • Day-to-day quarterback to execute on employee issues, generalist will provide guidance, explain, and interpret policies and practices.
  • Assisting middle managers and employees with development coaching based on current programs in the portfolio.
  • Through hands-on support with employees and managers, identifies trends within business and employee base for areas of improvement, training, etc.
  • Ensure HR compliance to support all functions and appropriate parties through reviews of policies, legislation, etc.
  • Participate in investigations and perform initial intake, consults with HR Director, determines escalation and recommendations.
  • Provide management training on HR policies and procedures in a group or individual setting.
  • Continually enhance knowledge of state and federal regulations and current trends/practices pertaining to Human Resources. Attend training and educational courses to enhance knowledge of all HR areas.
  • Manage workers compensation claims and communicates with injured workers.
  • Manage leaves of absences such as FMLA
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related area preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years of relevant work experience, 2 years of HR experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and related HR systems (e.g., HRIS and ATS applications)
  • Demonstrates good judgment, time management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability for effective verbal and written communications at all levels.
  • Ability to listen actively and ask questions to thoroughly understand complex issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and practice “Respectful Workplace” behavior at all time
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and related HR systems (e.g., HRIS and ATS applications)
  • Able to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the business in a multi-shift operation.
